In order to ensure the safe and stable production of the twin screw extruder and prolong its life, the maintenance of the twin screw extruder cannot be ignored. The basic content is roughly as follows.
The oil and lubricating oil should be changed every 4000h operation. If the main motor is a DC motor, check the carbon brushes of the motor once a month with detailed records and replace the carbon brushes when it is necessary. The electric control cabinet should be purged once a month, and the wear condition of the screw and barrel should be recorded every quarter. The gears, bearings and oil seals of the gearbox should be checked once a year. When the machine is shut down for a long time, the machine should be treated with anti-corrosion and anti-fouling.
When the twin screw extruder elements fail, they should be repaired according to the steps and methods described in the equipment manual.
Impurities are not allowed in the material. Hard materials such as metal and sand are strictly prohibited from entering the hopper and barrel. When opening the suction chamber cover, foreign objects should be strictly prevented from falling into the barrel. The extruder should be kept enough heat preservation time after heated, and the screw should be light before starting up the machine. The extruder screw is only allowed to start at low speed, and the idling time should not exceed 2 minutes. The feeding machine should gradually increase the speed after starvation feeding.
