Overview

Side feed barrels are designed to introduce secondary materials directly into the molten polymer stream through a precision-engineered lateral opening.


The geometry, angle and position of the feeding port are optimized based on process requirements, ensuring efficient incorporation of fillers, fibers or additives into the screw intermeshing zone.


To withstand severe abrasion at the material convergence point, the barrel is equipped with high-grade wear-resistant liners, while the opening edges are precision-finished to prevent material accumulation or degradation.
